The OESC Mens and Women's Bowls Club meet regularly at the Country Club Orange. All levels and ages welcome to join. OESC BOWLS CLUB Orange Ex-Services’ Country Club Lawn Bowling green is situated within the Orange Health Service Precinct. The club was initially established to serve as Occupational Therapy for the male and female patients numbering about 1500 people and Female Nurses and Male Attendants numbering about 500 and Administration Staff. The first green was constructed by ground staff and trustee male patients around 1956. After the original club suffered from financial problems in the 1970’s, Orange Ex-Services Club decided to take over control of Country Club in 1986. MENS BOWLING CLUB The OESC Mens Bowling Club has over 100 registered male members. With a few marque players and other quality players. They participate in several competitions including the Annual State Pennant competition. The Club has roots back to 1922 when returned World War I soldiers met at the rear of Orange’s Memorial Hall. The World War I diggers were later joined by World War II veterans, and together on 2nd June 1945, they formed a club known as the Orange Returned Servicemens’ Club, with a total of 35 members. Today, the Club has over 20,000 members and a strong vision and commitment to providing our members with the best service and facilities in regional NSW. As a not-for-profit community-based organisation, we are dedicated to improving our community and operating in a socially responsible, professional and sustainable manner. Member facilities include various restaurants, cafes, bars, the latest design TAB with SKY Channel and FOX Sports, KENO, 4.5 STAR rated Mercure Orange hotel , an 18-hole golf course at The Wentworth Orange , The Greenhouse of Orange , a rooftop bar and restaurant and 10 tennis courts. The OESC is now operating a FREE COURTESY BUS service for Members and their accompanied guests who live within a 5km radius of the Orange Ex-Services' Club! This service includes pickup and dropoff to the Orange Ex-Services Club, The Greenhouse of Orange, The Country Club or The Wentworth Orange.
