    As a ClubsNSW ClubSAFE Premium Member, OESC has varying strategies in place and resources available to assist patrons and concerned family members with the management of gambling. OESC HARM MINIMISATION Orange Ex-Services’ Club is committed to the provision of a safe and compliant environment for the benefit of its members, visitors, employees and contractors. The Club recognises the importance of security measures to mitigate the risk of physical or psychological hazards within each of its venues and has a broad number of security measures in place to minimise risk and maximise our reputation as a safe and professionally managed venue. Continuous closed-circuit television (CCTV) is in operation across all Club premises, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, governed by Workplace Surveillance Act and Regulations. PRIVACY The Privacy Policy of Orange Ex-Services’ Club Ltd and its related entities (‘OESC’) sets out how the organisation collects, uses, discloses and holds personal information. SECURITY & CCTV RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING POLICY Orange Ex-Services’ Club acknowledges the responsibility and privilege of holding a license to operate gaming machines and other forms of gambling within the state of New South Wales. Our organisation encourages the responsible use of gambling facilities and abides by the Club Gaming Code of Practice (Code). A Board endorsed policy sets the organisation's commitment to the provision of a framework to endorse and fulfill legislative requirements and principles of the responsible conduct of gaming, including resource commitment for continued evolving, in line with Government and Industry best practice solutions. Through adoption of this policy the OESC Board will: Ensure the provision and use of gambling products occur in a safe and enjoyable manner. Prioritise customer welfare and sustainable gambling activities. Promote timely provision of resources for those who need or request information or help in a discreet and professional manner, thus enabling these individuals to make timely and informed decisions about their gambling practices. Adopt responsible gambling and harm minimisation measures in accordance with the Code. Promote the social and economic benefits of responsible gambling and the gaming industry. GAMBLING HARM MINIMISATION INITIATIVES As a ClubsNSW ClubSAFE Premium Member, OESC has varying strategies in place and resources available to assist patrons and concerned family members with the management of gambling. Resources are available in a range of languages. Access to interpreters is available upon request.OESC Duty Managers are available to discuss or implement any harm minimisation measure with anyone, at any time. Gaming Exclusion Programs: Voluntary Self-Exclusion: A multi-venue gambling self-exclusion (MVSE) scheme is available to any individual, who, at their own request is able to enter into a legal deed to prevent them entering or remaining in gaming areas or partaking in various gambling activities of a licensed venue. Minimum exclusion period is six (6) months. Exclusion from multiple licensed premises (clubs & hotels) can be included in a single exclusion deed. Gambling exclusions may also extend to TAB/wagering and Keno. A self-facilitated self-exclusion option allows patrons to apply to exclude themselves online, 24/7, without attending a gaming venue, and before seeing a gambling counsellor. To access this facility, https://mvse.com.au/self-facilitation Family Initiated Exclusion: When a person’s gambling is causing their family harm it may be appropriate to consider applying for a family-initiated exclusion.A responsible gambling counsellor will work with the family, the player and the club, separately and privately, to determine whether an exclusion is necessary. The minimum exclusion period would be twelve (12) months and is limited to OESC group venues. A Player can appeal family-initiated exclusions to the Code Adjudication Panel. Upon initial approach to OESC, the third party will be provided with a brochure featuring family self-exclusion information and links to commence steps for assistance. Information brochures are available via: www.clubsnsw.com.au/gamingcodeofpractice Venue Initiated Exclusion: In line with the Club Gaming Code of Practice, OESC may apply for venue-initiated exclusion if a player displays any of the following problem gambling behaviours or through: Seeking credit for gambling. Seeking to borrow money for gambling. Admitting to borrowing or stealing money to gamble. Leaving a minor unattended while playing gaming machines. A venue-initiated exclusion is for a minimum period of 12 months and is limited to OESC Group venues. A Player can appeal venue-initiated exclusions to the Code Adjudication Panel. Player Activity Statements (PAS): A monthly player activity statement will be provided on request to the account holder, if the account has been active, free of charge. A request form may be obtained from the Cashier or requested via an email to PASrequest@oesc.com.au with your name, member # and month of play requested. For the protection of player privacy, statements can only be collected in person, upon presentation of a venue recognised form of photo identification that matches player details. Account Limit Setting / Voluntary Pre-Commitment Limits: The account holder of a player account may set a weekly account limit by written request to the Club. The request should state the amount that the player wishes to be restricted to each week (turnover minus wins). The player will be notified via the card reader once carded play has reached their nominated limit. If a weekly account limit is set, the player may alter the limit by written request to the Club. Forms for account limit setting are available from the Cashier. Access to Cash Policy Under no circumstances will a cash advance or form of credit be extended to a player at an OESC venue. The OESC solicitation policy does not tolerate any form of solicitation by any party for cash or money lending at OESC venues. MINORS OESC has adopted policy & procedures with regard to the management of persons under the age of 18. Such procedures include: Adoption of guardian definitions from the Liquor Act for entry to licensed premise. Adhoc ID checking of persons who may appear to look under 25 at various points whilst in-venue. Procedures for, and non-tolerance of, unaccompanied minors. Zero tolerance approach for minors policy breaches. RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL OESC is committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol and actively implements policies and procedures in accordance with the current Liquor Act (NSW) and related legislation. LIQUOR SELF-EXCLUSION PROGRAM A provision of the Liquor Act is that licensed venues provide a LiquorSelf-Exclusion program. If you wish to exclude yourself from a licensed venue, you can enter into a liquor self-exclusion agreement with the Licensee/CEO. Where a liquor self-exclusion is in force, venue staff have the legal power to prevent you from entering the venue, and to remove you from the venue. If you wish to discuss how a liquor self-exclusion can assist you, kindly make an enquiry with the Duty Manager, either on-site or via phone: 02 6362 2666. Reception staff are happy to assist you upon request. The security of points on your card is your responsibility. The Club accepts no responsibility for points redeemed illegitimately from membership cards. FEEDBACK & COMPLAINTS We welcome the opportunity to hear all feedback, suggestions and correct the problems and concerns of patrons. Management are always available to listen to your praise, suggestions or grievances. Venue Duty Managers are the primary contact points for positive feedback, complaints, disputes and recommendations, being equipped to handle a multitude of scenarios on the spot. Alternatively, a Member Suggestion box is conveniently located within each venue for your use. In the event a complaint cannot be handled satisfactorily by a Duty Manager at an Operational Management level, it will be forwarded to the Chief Operating Officer, who will respond as soon as practical if contact details have been provided. If the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you may wish to put your feelings in writing to the CEO. We will do our best to let you know decision reasoning and/or results by phone or in-person (and followed up by writing if requested) within 30 days.

    The OESC Mens and Women's Bowls Club meet regularly at the Country Club Orange. All levels and ages welcome to join. OESC BOWLS CLUB Orange Ex-Services’ Country Club Lawn Bowling green is situated within the Orange Health Service Precinct. The club was initially established to serve as Occupational Therapy for the male and female patients numbering about 1500 people and Female Nurses and Male Attendants numbering about 500 and Administration Staff. The first green was constructed by ground staff and trustee male patients around 1956. After the original club suffered from financial problems in the 1970’s, Orange Ex-Services Club decided to take over control of Country Club in 1986. MENS BOWLING CLUB The OESC Mens Bowling Club has over 100 registered male members. With a few marque players and other quality players. They participate in several competitions including the Annual State Pennant competition.     YOUR PRIVACY For members who wish to better understand our privacy policy, we have provided a privacy information fact sheet. Please click the button below Privacy FAQ Purpose OESC is committed to respecting privacy and confidentiality in relation to the collection, maintenance, use, archive or disposal of records and information it collects in the performance of its business activities. OESC is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (C’th) and the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 (C’th). Scope The OESC Privacy Policy identifies the organisation’s position and processes as pertaining to each of the thirteen (13) Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Position & Process APP 1 – Open and transparent management of personal information OESC maintains a clearly expressed and up to date privacy policy that is freely available upon request and/or downloadable from the organization’s website. APP 2 – Anonymity and pseudonymity While APP 2 allows individuals to interact with organizations by not identifying themselves and permits the use of a pseudonym OESC is subject to the provisions of the Registered Clubs Act 1976 (NSW), which requires the Club to obtain the following personal information: Ordinary Member – full name, occupation, date of birth, address, signature and date on which the annual fee for membership of the Club was last paid Honorary Member – full name or surname and initials and address Temporary Member – full name or surname and initials, address, signature and date of entry Guest of Member – full name or surname and initials, address, signature and date of entry Given the aforementioned legislative requirement, the exemption provided in APP 2 precluding an individual (member or guest) from using a pseudonym or not identifying themselves when required to do so under Australian law is applicable. APP 3 – Collection of personal and sensitive information OESC only collects personal information that is necessary for the performance of its business activities (i.e. administrative matters, provision of information about Club activities and in accordance with legislative requirements). Information collected by OESC will not be disclosed to third parties other than as specifically provided for in the privacy legislation. Members and guests are entitled to expect that their personal information will not be subject to unauthorized interference or use. OESC does not collect sensitive information from members and guests. APP 4 – Dealing with unsolicited personal information Any unsolicited personal information received by the OESC organization, which it is not entitled to, is (where lawful and reasonable) destroyed or de-identified as soon as practicable. APP 5 – Notification of collection OESC has processes in place (i.e. signage, privacy information handouts & statements and readily accessible downloadable information on the website) to inform its members and guests: Why OESC is collecting their personal information What that personal information will be used for Whether OESC collects personal information on its members and guests from third parties What the consequences are if personal information is not provided The OESC complaint handling process, and Any potential overseas disclosure of their personal information APP 6 – Use or disclosure OESC only collects personal information about an individual for the purposes outlined under APP 3 (the primary purpose) and will not use or disclose the information for another purpose (the secondary purpose) unless the individual consents to the use or disclosure or another exception applies. The exceptions that permit use or disclosure for secondary purpose are: Where required or authorized by or under Australian law or a court/tribunal order Where necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to any individual’s life, health or safety, or to public health or safety, and it is unreasonable or impracticable to obtain the consent of the individual whose personal information is to be used or disclosed When necessary for an organization to take appropriate action in relation to a reasonable suspicion of unlawful activity, or misconduct of a serious nature To an enforcement body for one or more enforcement related activities To assist in locating a missing person To establish, exercise or defend a legal equitable claim, and For the purpose of a confidential alternative dispute resolution APP 7 – Direct marketing OESC only uses member information for the direct marketing of Club activities, events and business. An ‘opt-out’ mechanism is provided to Club members so they can request the Club to stop sending direct marketing material. OESC will promptly stop sending direct marketing material to a member where such a request is received. APP 8 – Cross border disclosure OESC does not send or disclose personal information of its members or guests to any overseas recipients. APP 9 – Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers OESC does not adopt, use or disclose a government related identifier of an individual (e.g. Medicare number) as its own identifier. APP 10 – Quality OESC takes all reasonable steps to ensure personal information it collects, uses or discloses is: Accurate Up-to-date, and Complete In the event OESC is required to use or disclose personal information, the organization will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information is accurate, up-to-date and complete, as well as being relevant to the purpose for which the information is being used or disclosed. APP 11 – Security OESC takes reasonable steps (both physical and logical) to protect the personal information it holds from interference, misuse, loss and unauthorized access, modification and disclosure. OESC takes reasonable steps to destroy or de? Identify information where the organization no longer needs the information for an authorized purpose, unless: It is contained in a Commonwealth record, or OESC is required by or law or a court/tribunal order to retain the information APP 12 – Access OESC will respond to requests for access to personal information within a reasonable timeframe and provide access in the requested manner where reasonable and practicable. OESC will only provide an individual with access to their own personal information and not that of others. OESC will not charge for requests to access personal information. OESC will refuse a request to access personal information: Where there is a serious threat to public health or safety If required or authorized by or under an Australian law or a court/tribunal order Where suspicion that unlawful activity or misconduct of a serious nature is being or may be engaged in and giving access would be likely to prejudice the taking of appropriate action in relation to the matter Where giving access would likely prejudice one or more enforcement activities conducted by or on behalf of an enforcement body Where OESC has refused access to personal information, the reasons for such a refusal will be provided to the applicant in writing. OESC has a formal complaints process that includes complaints relating to a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles (APP). All complaints are to be directed to the OESC Chief Operating Officer in writing and will be handled according to the following OESC grievance resolution process. APP 13 – Correction OESC takes reasonable steps to correct personal information to ensure that it is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading. Corrections to personal information are undertaken where OESC is satisfied it needs to be corrected or where requested by the individual. In the event OESC refuses to correct an individual’s personal information, a written statement outlining the reasons for not amending the personal information will be provided to the individual. Where applicable, OESC will provide to other organizations the updated, corrected details of the individual’s personal information. OESC will respond within a reasonable period to any request for personal information correction and does not charge for corrections and updates. OESC has a formal complaints process that includes complaints relating to a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles (APP). All complaints are to be directed to the OESC Chief Operating Officer in writing and will be handled according to the following OESC grievance resolution process. OESC Privacy Grievance/Complaints Resolution Process OESC is committed to the early and internal resolution of grievances. All attempts should be made to resolve any grievances internally with the OESC Chief Operating Officer before initiating a formal external grievance resolution processes. Parties involved in a grievance must participate in the grievance resolution process in good faith. Grievance resolution processes should be applied fairly, flexibly and quickly. All parties involved in a grievance should be treated with respect and impartiality. The confidentiality of parties involved in a grievance should be respected at all times, subject to the need to fully investigate the matter and any legal requirements for disclosure. Both the complainant and/or respondent have the right to be represented by a third person. Where applicable, the complainant can request to have an interpreter be present. Complainants are able to raise issues of concern in an environment free from fear of retribution, victimization or breach of confidentiality. Reasons and full explanations for decisions and actions taken will be kept in writing by the OESC Chief Operating Officer and will be provided to both the complainant and/or representative at every stage of the grievance process – records of grievances remain confidential. OESC supports an active approach to grievance resolution via internal mechanisms and processes; however, an external complaint process is also available for privacy complaints via the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) Tel: 1300 363 992. Employee Breach of Policy Failure to abide by this policy is a breach of both the Privacy Act 1988 (C’th) and the OESC internal policies and procedures. Non-compliance may result in legal action being taken against the employee and/or disciplinary action or termination by the employer.
